For anyone with some natural wave to hair, this is the style for you! An updated version of last year’s beachy waves, this look is low effort-high reward, perfect for busy mornings before school and work or lazy weekends! Here’s how to get the look.
Out of the shower, gently scrunch water out of hair with an old t-shirt or microfiber towel. This helps eliminate frizz, especially for wavy or curly hair. Part hair and detangle hair with a wide-tooth comb.
Start working mousse through hair, from back too front. This ensures you won’t have too much product around the face. Two of our favorite mousses for wavy hair are Oribe Curl Shaping Mousse and Suave Captivating Curls Mousse.
If you have bangs, blow them dry. (This is especially important if you have a cowlick to tame!
) For everyone, let hair completely air dry. Resist the urge to scrunch hair or check see if it’s dry – touching hair will just add frizz. If you don’t have time to air dry, use a diffuser with hair upside down. The Hot Sock Diffuser fits onto most hair dryers and is highly recommended for wavy hair.
When hair is dry, or almost there, finish with a salt spray. We love Oribe Apres Beach Spray or make your own!
